Swine Flu – Be Prepared
So far, the swine flu virus has not caused widespread disruption to UK businesses and once supplies of the new vaccine become available it is hoped that the outbreak can be substantially held in check.
Whether or not swine flu is regarded as pandemic, it provides a sharp reminder to small businesses in particular that they can be at risk of serious disruption. Business continuity plans should be in place to ensure that problems such as staff illness, loss of use of premises and systems failure do not adversely affect customers.
