Lancaster insurance brokers founded on integrity and service

BP Insurance Brokers was formed in 1958 when Barry Pimlott senior set up his office in Caunce Street, Blackpool, later moving to a larger premises on nearby Whitegate Drive as his hard work led to success. This building is still owned by the company and forms part of Marionette House, the company's head office.

Sons Barry Pimlott junior and Christopher Pimlott started working part-time in the office in 1974 and 1975 respectively, each becoming full-time on leaving school four years later. In 1985 they purchased the business from their father, who then retired. In 1987, the then-partnership purchased a Lancaster insurance business, which they enhanced with the systems and working practices that had made the Blackpool office so successful.

Marionette House was expanded in 1991 through the purchase and refurbishment of a neighbouring property, freeing up an extra 3000 square feet of office space for the growing workforce. Two more offices were later opened in the popular seaside resorts of St Annes, to the south of Blackpool, and Cleveleys, to the north to complement the existing Blackpool and Lancaster insurance offices. This network of offices, all staffed by a friendly and helpful team, offers unrivalled high street coverage of the Fylde Coast area of Lancashire, arranging cheap insurance for clients in the north west.

Now incorporated as Marionette Facilities Ltd, with Barry and Christopher Pimlott as directors, BP Insurance Brokers have invested heavily in a highly professional workforce and the very latest in technology.
